The Kongsee - Mod-Sin Izakaya Cocktail Bar

Nested in an iconic heritage shophouse along buzzy Gemmill Lane, The Kongsee is a new Izakaya cocktail bar opened in April 2022 that pay homeage to Singapore’s food culture with a modern twist.

KFC (Kongsee Fried Chicken) (3 pieces $18++/ 6 pieces $24++) Using GG French Poulet drumstick mixed with fermented shrimp paste made famous in Southeast Asia.
 
Mini Roxy Crab Laksa (Small $12++/ Large $20++) Don't expect a punchy Laksa, this delicate & balanced broth with wild caught crab is a great cure for hangovers. Founded in 1952, this Singapore Laksa has won multiple awards & is currently served only in Roketto Niseko, Hokkaido.
 
Chicken Barley Risotto Roll (2 pieces $14++/4 pieces $25++) Everybody loves chicken rice, a classic Singaporean dish where everyone knows. Using barley instead of rice, a healthier option, so you won't feel guilty after eating it.
 
Barramundi Ceviche ($19++) Using Fresh Kuhlbara's Barramundi based in Singapore and elevating it into a ceviche dish. Tossed with fresh herbs and vegetables, served with crispy papadums and a scoop of creamy pomelo.

Iberico Satay (2 pieces $15++/5 pieces $30++) Make Satay Great Again. One of Chef's signature dishes, Iberico secreto charcoal grilled to a smokey char. Eat it with the rich Javanese peanut sauce and pineapple salsa

Min Jiang 岷江川菜馆 | 8 Hands Culinary Showcase: A Rediscovery of Cantonese Classics

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity where four veteran Chinese chefs – Chan Kwok (best known for helming Hua Ting Restaurant), Chin Hon Yin (Li Bai in the mid-80s to 90s), Chung Ho Shi (notably the Chinese Executive Chef of Golden Peony) and Min Jiang’s very own Chan Hwan Kee collaborates to showcase rarely seen traditional Hong Kong-style Cantonese dishes that date back at least three decades. Gourmet Ambassador Moses Lim, also a well-known actor, host, comedian, celebrity food critic and food connoisseur brings his invaluable knowledge to this event.



The week-long promotion from 18 to 25 May 2022 will showcase three exquisite set menus for four, six and ten persons:

LUCE by Davide Giacomelli | Brand NEW Italian Concept Restaurant at InterContinental Singapore

LUCE a brand-new Italian concept restaurant helmed by Davide Giacomelli is opening on 20 May 2022 at InterContinental Singapore. A seasonal à la carte menu that will be refreshed on a quarterly basis, the dishes are filled with thoughtfully selected fresh, local ingredients, packed with flavour and goodness!



Bruschetta ($19.00++) Toasted bread with grated garlic and topped with Parma ham, fresh buffalo mozzarella, cherry tomato concassé, rocket leaves and basil

Acquerello Lobster ($46.00++) Carnaroli rice cooked in lobster stock and served with half Boston lobster and chervil, bound to be a hit amongst seafood lovers


Merluzzo alla Puttanesca ($46.00++) Pan-fried Atlantic cod with fresh, homemade tomato sauce, taggiasca olives, anchovies, pantelleria capers and fresh herbs—featuring soft, flaky cod paired with the fragrant, robust flavours of the traditional Puttanesca sauce.

LUCE will also offer a set lunch menu with a choice of either 2-course ($34.00++) or 3-course ($40.00++). The set lunch features special dishes outside of the regular menu with mains like Maltagliati Stracotto d’ Agnello—fresh homemade pasta with lamb ragout—and Barramundi Zucchini Tapenade with Citron Confit—pan-fried barramundi with zucchini a la plancha and olive.
